The electrical engineering aspects of the completion and supplementation works for the first phase of the Shaanxi Yanchang China Coal Yulin Energy Chemical Project have had their design details presented on-site. Recently, the electrical engineering team responsible for the system installation as part of the general contracting project carried out by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., completed the presentation of design details on-site for the completion and supplementation works of the first phase of the Shaanxi Yanchang China Coal Yulin Energy Chemical Project (the Yanchang Jingbian Phase II project), thereby creating favorable conditions for achieving the goal of starting up the boiler by “9·30”. At the briefing meeting, the electrical design specialists from the project system team of Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. provided an overview of the project, the engineering design standards, and the technical solutions adopted. Special attention was given to giving detailed design explanations for various components such as the plant’s external power supply lines, Tower No. 2, the LDPEEVA chemical storage facility, the plant’s fuel gas distribution station, and the fifth circulating water plant. It is understood that for the entire plant’s power supply infrastructure, it will be necessary to install nearly 50,000 meters of aluminum alloy cable trays, 136,000 meters of 35 kV cables, and 228,000 meters of communication optical fibers. The successful holding of this meeting provides a guarantee for the subsequent construction work. The system project team also stated that it will work closely together and coordinate efforts to ensure the successful achievement of the target for boiler ignition on \"9▪30\". The completion project for the first phase of Yulin Energy Chemical Complex is a key initiative aimed at implementing the requirements set by the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government to \"enhance the demonstration effect of the comprehensive utilization projects for coal, oil, and gas resources in Jingbian\", as well as the goals of Yan’an Petroleum Group regarding \"changing development models and adjusting the industrial structure\". With an investment of 14.413 billion yuan, this project will use coal and natural gas as raw materials to build integrated facilities capable of producing 1.8 million tons per year of methanol, 600,000 tons per year of methanol-to-olefins products, 400,000 tons per year of polypropylene, and 300,000 tons per year of low-density polyethylene/Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate copolymer (LDPE/EVA). The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2020, at which time Yueneng Chemical’s polyolefin production capacity will increase to 1.8 million tons per year.
