In late June, a new grade of impact-resistant copolymerized polypropylene, SP179, produced by Pucheng Clean Energy Chemicals Company, was manufactured using China’s first single-loop tube reactor system and also the largest Spheripol processing unit in Asia. This represents another new product following EP548R, a material designed for use in home appliances. It is understood that SP179 is the fourth new grade produced through innovation by this company this year. It has a melt index of 10±2 g/10 min, high mechanical strength, good processability, and excellent impact resistance; it is widely suitable for injection molding processes and is mainly used in automotive bumpers and interior components. More than 9,200 tons are planned to be produced this time.
