Project Name and Overview Project Name: Project for the Optimization, Upgrade, and Renovation of the Production System at Wenxi Branch of Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. Location of Construction: The existing factory site of Wenxi Branch of Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. Nature of Construction: Renovation Overview of the Project: The total investment in this project is 437.33 million yuan. It involves using micro-pressure fixed-bed pure-oxygen continuous gasification technology to upgrade the gas generation processes in Production Systems No. 1 and No. 2. The 19 original atmospheric-pressure intermittent fixed-bed gas generators along with their associated equipment will be removed, while new pure-oxygen gasifiers, medium-temperature isothermal shift reactors, and other equipment will be installed. The processes involved in subsequent stages such as semi-water gas desulfurization, shift reaction, decarburization, compression, alkylation, and refrigeration will also be optimized. Additionally, consideration is given to integrating this system with the φ2.3m Jinhang furnace. After the renovation, the total production capacity of the entire plant remains unchanged. This project has been registered by the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Wenxi County under Document No. 19 regarding industry and information technology registrations. II. Current status of project construction and environmental protection: The current project construction activities involve Jinfeng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd.’s Wenxi Branch, whose predecessor was the Wenxi County Chemical Plant, established in 1977; it came under the control of Jinfeng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. in January 2004. The original ammonia synthesis capacity was 60,000 tons per year, with 30,000 tons of methanol produced as a by-product. In 2004, to achieve economies of scale, technical upgrades were carried out on the existing plant, resulting in an additional annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, along with 30,000 tons of methanol; the total annual production capacity for urea rose to 300,000 tons, bringing the overall ammonia production capacity to 240,000 tons. Currently, there are 2 ammonia synthesis systems, 1 urea system, along with supporting utility and environmental protection facilities. The main construction components include key processes such as gas generation, semi-desulfurization, shift reaction, conversion and desulfurization, advanced desulfurization, alcohol hydrocarbonation, ammonia synthesis, and urea production, as well as systems for power supply and distribution, circulating water systems, storage and transportation facilities, and environmental protection measures.
