Author/Source: Coal Chemical Industry Information Network. Date: May 24, 2022. Clicks: 22. On May 20, Xinjiang Zhongtai Henghui Medical Materials Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to mark the commissioning of Phase I of this project, which is capable of producing 140,000 tons per year of such materials. As the first large-scale spunbond non-woven fabric production line in the Northwest region, it not only contributes to the upgrading of China’s textile industry and the development of new material industries but also represents the completion of the first project under Zhongtai Group’s “Project Construction Year.” It holds great significance and serves as a model for strengthening the textile industry chain of Zhongtai Group, as well as for promoting economic and social development in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture and southern Xinjiang. The commissioning of the first phase of Xinjiang Zhongtai Henghui’s intelligent manufacturing project, which has an annual production capacity of 140,000 tons of bio-based, green, biodegradable materials, marks another significant step forward in the development of the textile industry in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture. Over the years, successive leadership teams in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture have been committed to promoting the high-quality development of the textile and apparel industry. Yu Yajing, Deputy Chief Accountant of Zhongtai Group, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhongtai Textiles and Apparel Group, and Chairman of Zhongtai Henghui, said in her speech that the textiles and apparel industry is a key industry that receives significant support from the autonomous region, as well as an important industry for people’s livelihoods. Zhongtai Group actively contributes to the development strategies of the region and the autonomous region; by leveraging the textiles and apparel industry base in Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, and through equity partnerships and project development, it has established an industrial chain that includes 1.2 million mu of cotton cultivation, 1 million tons of viscose fiber production, 3.8 million spindles for viscose spinning, 1.2 million tons of PTA production, and 300,000 tons of BDO production. It is the largest enterprise in China in terms of BDO, viscose yarn, and cotton processing. While providing stable employment for 15,000 people, this enterprise also lays a solid foundation for the development of a complete industrial chain that covers cotton spinning, viscose spinning, polyester production, and spandex manufacturing, as well as various textile processing, printing, weaving, and garment production activities. Yuan Wenbing, general manager of Zhongtai Henghui, said when introducing the project development that Nantong Henghui and Zhongtai Group have joined forces to establish the largest hydroentangled non-woven fabric production facility in the northwest region. This initiative also fills the market gap for non-woven materials in China’s western areas, and it is of great significance for locally utilizing the high-purity, high-brightness viscose staple fibers produced by Korla Zhongtai Textile Technology Co., Ltd. The Zhongtai Henghui spunbond non-woven fabric project was established in the Korla Economic and Technological Development Zone in June 2020. It is planned in two phases; the first phase involves the construction of 12 spunbond non-woven fabric production lines, enabling an annual production capacity of 140,000 tons of such fabrics. Once operational, the project will consume over 100,000 tons of high-purity viscose fiber locally, while creating employment for 600 people.
