On August 6, the environmental improvement project involving a semi-dry desulfurization and dust removal integrated system for Weihua Company’s new first-phase boiler was successfully brought to the intermediate handover stage, marking the official entry of this project into the testing phase. Upon completion of this project, the pollutant emissions from the boiler flue gas, namely SO2 and particulate matter, will be less than 35 mg/Nm3 and 5 mg/Nm3 respectively. Starting from the civil construction work on November 15, 2018, throughout the nearly 9-month construction period, the company’s leadership paid close attention to the progress of this project. They instructed the project team to prioritize safety and environmental protection, maintain strict quality controls, and manage the schedule carefully, so as to ensure that the project was completed safely, to a high standard, and efficiently. Once completed, the flue gas from the company’s 5 boilers will all meet ultra-low emission standards, in compliance with the Shaanxi Province standard DB61/941-2014 \"Emission Limits for Air Pollutants in Key Industries in the Guanzhong Region,\" thus achieving the goals set out in the three-year action plan for combating air pollution by 2020 ahead of schedule.
