In response to the issue of unstable aeration supply in MBR membrane tanks, which led to energy waste, Huarui Company’s water treatment plant promptly convened a meeting with personnel at the team leader level and above. By taking into account the existing equipment, conducting calculations, reviewing equipment diagrams, and pooling collective wisdom, they arrived at an optimal solution: using the fan in the regulation tank along with one fan dedicated to the membrane tanks would be sufficient to meet the aeration requirements of those tanks. The piping from the regulation tank fan was connected to the outlet pipe of the membrane tank fan. After the modification is completed, replacing the two 75KW fans used in the membrane tanks with one 75KW fan and one 15KW fan each will allow the wastewater treatment plant to save 60 kWh of electricity per hour. This results in a monthly savings of 43,200 kWh, leading to cost savings of 22,334 yuan.
