Since last year, Department 1 of the chemical industry, where the water-coal slurry plant is located, has carried out a campaign aimed at achieving both increased production and cost savings. The gasification furnace is a key device for converting raw coal into hydrogen. The water-coal slurry system has 3 gasifiers; during normal operation, two of them are in use while one is on standby. The gasifiers need to be shut down for maintenance after about 90 days of operation, and the cost of such maintenance is approximately 3.6 million yuan. In the “Double Increase, Double Festival” competition, they made reducing the frequency of maintenance on gasification furnaces a key focus in their efforts to achieve efficient management and improved performance. The ministry organized technical task forces, which, after thorough research and analysis, focused on addressing the key \"issues\" first. First, they aim to improve the quality of maintenance work and reduce unplanned shutdowns caused by equipment failures; to this end, they vigorously promote standardization in the maintenance of gasification furnaces, including standardization for acceptance checks and commissioning. The contractor, equipment operator, and process engineer sign to confirm the acceptance, enabling timely detection of maintenance issues and ensuring the quality of maintenance work. For critical pumps, including high-pressure coal slurry pumps and quench water pumps, standardized acceptance procedures are implemented; all parameters must meet the specified standards before the trial operation can be considered successful. At the same time, by optimizing parameters and enforcing strict process discipline, operating in accordance with operational procedures and process sheets, controlling the furnace temperature properly to reduce erosion of the furnace bricks, the operating efficiency of the gasification furnace has been improved, with significant results. Last year, after its scheduled maintenance, Reactor B has been in operation since July 8, and to date it has run for two cycles totaling 172 days.
