On the morning of January 17, in order to promptly coordinate and resolve the issues arising during the implementation and construction of the project and ensure its smooth progress, the Dalu Industrial Park in Ordos City held a meeting to discuss the construction of Yitai’s 2 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction demonstration project. Yitai Coal-to-Oil provided a detailed account of the project’s progress, and held discussions with the management committee regarding current issues such as reductions in land taxes and fees, water supply, and the renovation and expansion of parking lots. Gao Huaijing, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Dalu Park, said that as the first major coal-to-oil demonstration project to be approved during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the 2 million-ton coal-to-oil project is of great significance for the transformation of Dalu Park, its green development, and the advancement of other industries involving the deep processing of coal. All parties within the park must attach great importance to the advancement of this project, plan in advance, work together on all aspects related to it, and pool their efforts to ensure its early implementation. On December 7, Inner Mongolia Yitai’s 2 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction demonstration project received the approval from the **Development and Reform Commission, which authorized the commencement of construction for this project. The total estimated investment for the project is 29.072 billion yuan, with an annual output value of 13.1 billion yuan expected after it is completed. There are four project investors, namely Inner Mongolia Yitai Group Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Yitai Coal Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia Yitai Coal-to-Oil Co., Ltd. The project is located in the South Industrial Zone of Dali Industrial Park, Zhungeer Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the constructor is Inner Mongolia Yitai Coal-to-Oil Co., Ltd. The project adopts the technical solution provided by Beijing Zhongke Synthetic Oil Technology Co., Ltd., with China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. serving as the project contractor. The proposed product plan involves the use of high-temperature F-T synthesis technology, with an annual production capacity of over 2 million tons of petroleum products. The main products will be 1.44 million tons of diesel, 400,000 tons of naphtha, 160,000 tons of LPG, and 100,000 tons of LNG; in addition, by-products such as mixed alcohols and sulfur will also be produced. Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical’s 1.2 million-ton coal-to-oil project set to begin operations in June Author/Source: Date: 2017-03-08 Clicks: 37 Recent news indicates that the 1.2 million-ton fine chemicals project operated by Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd., located in the southern project area of the Ordos Duguitala Industrial Park, is now in the final stages of equipment testing, with operations scheduled to start in June. In terms of project construction, the civil engineering work commenced in June 2014, and on August 15, the first Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor was successfully lifted into place ； On April 30, 2015, the first gasification furnace was successfully lifted into place, and by June, all civil engineering work in the plant was completed ready for installation ； In June 2016, the installation of the main process equipment was completed, and utility services such as water and electricity outside the plant were put into operation. To date, the design and procurement tasks have been fully completed. The overall progress of the project construction is 99%; the air separation unit is already producing oxygen and nitrogen, and the main units for gasification, synthesis, purification, and processing have been handed over, with the overall mechanical construction completed ； The plant’s utility systems, including power supply and distribution, water treatment systems, boilers, coal storage, transportation, and blending, as well as water supply and drainage networks, have been put into use. Regarding the project’s commissioning, power was supplied to the main transformer on March 1, 2016, and water supply was established; instrument air was supplied from the air compressor station on March 25. Qualified desalinated water was produced on April 20, the boiler was successfully ignited on June 19, and oxygen and nitrogen were generated by the air separation unit on December 21. To date, the individual testing of the main unit has been largely completed, the steam piping networks of all units have been purged, and the chemical cleaning of the oxygen pipelines has been fully finished. The total planned investment for 2017 was 2.15 billion yuan. In accordance with the overall commissioning schedule, and while ensuring safety and environmental protection, it is planned to start feeding material into the gasifier for testing in June 2017, with the goal of producing qualified products. The 1.2 million tons per year fine chemicals demonstration project of Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd. has a total estimated investment of around 19.2 billion yuan. The project utilizes the high-temperature slurry-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as the Aerospace Changzheng pressurized coal gasification technology, to produce 1# low-aromatic solvent, 3# low-aromatic solvent, light liquid paraffin, heavy liquid paraffin, cetane number improvers, LPG, sulfur, sulfuric acid, and mixed alcohols.
