Progress in the resumption of work on Xinjiang Xinhuixia’s 1.2 million tons per year coal tar hydrogenation project Author/Source: China News Service Date: 2020-03-03 Clicks: 65 In recent days, Xinjiang Xinhuixia Clean Co., Ltd., located in the Yiwu County Industrial Park, has been working to ensure epidemic prevention and control while also facilitating the resumption of business operations, thereby restoring normal production and business activities in an orderly manner and ensuring that both epidemic control and production resumption are addressed properly. Some of the employees who have returned to work at the company are from the local area. For employees from other provinces who resumed work recently, they were arranged to be placed in quarantine facilities for medical observation, and the workers gradually returned to work on February 15. Well before resuming work, the company began making preparations in advance to ensure that employees could return to their posts safely. To prevent people from gathering for meetings, the company has adopted Tencent Cloud services. Training and meetings can be held in the dormitories to avoid crowds and cross-contact. Xinhui Gorge Cleaning Co., Ltd. mainly produces naphtha, diesel, and other products. Since it began operations in December last year, the factory’s production capacity is currently at 40% to 45%, with daily sales amounting to around 450 tons. At present, all vehicles transporting goods out of Xinhui Gorge use the Naoliu Highway. As the main route for the inbound and outbound transport of industrial products and raw materials in the Yiwu County Industrial Park, this highway handles a large volume of transportation tasks. In January this year, the 600,000-ton-per-year fluidized-bed hydrogenation unit for full-range coal tar, which is part of the first phase of Xinjiang Xinhuixia Clean Energy Co., Ltd.’s 1.2 million tons-per-year coal tar hydrogenation project, was successfully commissioned, producing qualified products. Xinhui Gorge Company’s 1.2 million tons per year coal tar hydrogenation project uses the products manufactured by the Clean Refining Company as raw materials; it also utilizes the waste gas generated by that company to produce hydrogen, which is then used for the hydrogenation of coal tar, with the end result being downstream products. The main equipment of this project consists of a hydrogen production unit and a hydrogenation unit. The hydrogen production unit has been put into operation using waste gas, producing hydrogen of qualified quality; the products from the hydrogenation unit have also been sent to qualified downstream facilities, thus completing the entire production process for this project. Meanwhile, the entire series of the 10 million tons per year coal grading and upgrading project invested in and built by Clean Refining Company was fully capitalized as announced on November 6, 2019, further securing the upstream supply chain for the Xinhuixia project.
