I would like to ask the experts here: For a four-nozzle gasification unit I am maintaining, it has been observed recently that the discharge pipeline at the bottom of the cyclone separator is severely scaled. Analysis of the scale sample shows that it is mainly sulfate scale. Recently, the synthesis units on the backend have also shown issues with clogs in the filters of the conversion units; it is suspected that the gases coming from the scrubber towers contain a high amount of dust, which is causing these blockages. What could be the possible cause of this situation? The workshop now suspects that the effectiveness of the ash dispersant is poor, or whether there are other reasons for this issue? For example, an increase in the ash content of the coal fed into the furnace? I truly seek advice from all the experts; if there are any suggestions…

I understand that the ash water dispersant is added at the ash water side, while the cyclone separator is located at the black water side, where high temperature and pressure prevail; so even if the performance of the agent is excellent, it won’t be able to reach the cyclone separator, right?
For such matters, it is first necessary to check whether the physical and chemical parameters of the raw materials and auxiliary materials meet the required standards. Check the reasons one by one, using the elimination method, for reference only.
