The water reuse system in Donghua Technology’s Xinjiang Tianye project generated qualified reclaimed water. Author/Source: Donghua Technology ECEC; Date: 2020-06-04; Clicks: 13. At 13:03 on June 3, the water reuse process within the water system of the EPC contract for the auxiliary facilities of Donghua Technology’s 600,000 tons per year ethylene glycol production facility at Xinjiang Tianye Phase I produced qualified reclaimed water, with all process parameters meeting the required standards. The completion of this milestone marks the full completion of the commissioning of the water treatment processes in the water system of the EPC section, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent commissioning of related processes such as brine treatment, membrane concentration, evaporation crystallization, and waste salt treatment. The reclaimed water treatment process consists mainly of 8 units: a homogenization tank, a clarifier, a coagulation and sedimentation tank, an aerated biological filter, a sand filter, an ultrafiltration unit, a weak-acid cation exchange resin bed, and a reverse osmosis system. This process is capable of producing 18,000 cubic meters of qualified reclaimed water per day. Since the start of water intake testing for the reclaimed water treatment system on April 20, 2020, the Xinjiang Tianye project team of Donghua Technology formed a troubleshooting team; various specialized teams worked closely together, adhering strictly to the testing methods and technical requirements, to address any issues that arose promptly and to ensure the smooth progress of the reclaimed water treatment process. Next, the evaporation and crystallization section of the project’s recycled water treatment unit will undergo commissioning with a heat load. The Xinjiang Tianye project team of Donghua Technology will proceed step by step, working methodically, in order to complete the debugging of the other water treatment processes related to the recycled water system as soon as possible.
