On May 16, the 100,000-ton/year FTW wax refining project of Shaanxi Future Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. completed the construction of its main building and framework, and equipment installation began; thus, the project has entered its full-scale final phase of development. It is understood that the company has thoroughly implemented an innovation-driven development strategy, further expanding the upstream and downstream industrial chains related to coal-to-oil conversion in order to produce high-end fine chemicals and new chemical materials. The 100,000 tons per year FTO wax refining project uses China’s first million-ton-scale low-temperature FTO coal-to-oil process to produce FTO wax products with high added value, via continuous high-vacuum molecular distillation technology. The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in August this year; it will add 6 types of high-value-added fischer-tropsch wax products, becoming the first facility in China capable of producing fischer-tropsch waxes with a high melting point of 115 degrees, thereby promoting the development of the coal-to-oil industry in a more refined and high-end direction.
