China Air Separation wins bid for water tank project at desalination station of Shaanxi Coal Yulin Chemical Company Author/Source: Gas Separation Date: May 31, 2020 Clicks: 30 In May 2020, China Air Separation Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the water tank project at the desalination station of the 1.8 million tons per year ethylene glycol production facility as part of the first phase of Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd.’s “Demonstration Project for the Utilization of Coal in the Production of New Chemical Materials.” This means that China Air Separation will play a role in the construction of the world’s largest coal-based ethylene glycol production facility under development. Upon the successful completion of the project, it will further enhance China Air Separation’s competitiveness and reputation in this field. It is reported that the \"Demonstration Project for the Utilization of Coal at Different Quality Levels to Produce New Chemical Materials\" carried out by Shaanxi Coal Yulin Chemical is currently the largest coal chemical project under construction in the world, with an annual conversion volume of coal exceeding 20 million tons. The first phase of this project is an ethylene glycol production facility with an annual capacity of 1.8 million tons; the total investment amount is 21.9 billion, and the production of qualified products is scheduled to begin in June 2021.
