For the 1.72 million-ton coking project of Yumenkou Coking Co., Ltd., the foundation for Furnace No. 1 has been completely completed, while work on Furnace No. 2 is underway at full speed. At present, the maximum height of the carbonization chamber in the largest rammed coke ovens in China is 6.78 meters; once this project is completed, the height of the carbonization chambers in these ovens will reach 6.8 meters, making them the largest rammed coke ovens in the country. Yumenkou Coking Co., Ltd. is a collective enterprise in Longmen Village, Hejin City. With a total investment of 2.9 billion yuan, this project is an important part of Hejin City’s “Eight Furnaces and Two Parks” initiative. It involves the construction of 2X62 carbonization chambers in coke ovens with a height of 6.8 meters. Accompanying this are a dry quenching system capable of handling 230 tons per hour, as well as a 35-megawatt waste heat power generation system for dry quenching. There are also facilities for subsequent chemical processing, including systems for converting coke oven gas into LNG and synthetic ammonia. The equipment and manufacturing processes used in this project are at the top domestic standard; subsequently, a full set of equipment required for coke production from Germany will be introduced, which will enable the production of higher-quality coke. All environmental emission standards will be met with zero emissions, thus laying the foundation for the entire enterprise to reach the leading level in China’s coke production and processing industry. According to the construction plan, the project is set to begin operations on July 1 next year. Once completed, it will have an annual production capacity of 1.72 million tons of coke and 100,000 tons of LNG. The annual sales revenue is expected to reach 5.6 billion yuan, creating employment for thousands of people.
