On July 29, the Energy Conservation Company of the Energy Group organized a seminar on the technical renovation plan for the Huaguan circulating fluidized bed boiler, as part of the key research and development project titled “Demonstration of High-Efficiency, Low-Emission Coal-Fired Industrial Boilers”. The company heard a presentation from Beijing Rehua Energy Technology Co., Ltd. regarding this renovation plan. Experts present conducted in-depth discussions on the relevant aspects and offered specific suggestions and requirements, which played a positive role in improving the technical renovation plan and advancing the demonstration of circulating fluidized bed boiler technologies. The Huaguan circulating fluidized bed boiler engineering demonstration is one of the five engineering demonstrations planned for this project. Building on HeatChina Energy’s existing 25t/h coal-fired multi-flow circulating fluidized bed boiler, fuel injection devices and desulfurizer injection devices are to be added to the secondary combustion chamber, along with high-performance demonstrations of supported desulfurizers. This approach aims to achieve clean combustion and environmental-friendly operations in multi-flow circulating fluidized bed boilers by supplying fuel and desulfurizers in separate beds, at different levels, or in different particle sizes, thereby meeting the advanced emission standards specified in the project requirements – namely, an SO2 level of no more than 50mg/Nm3 when the Ca/S ratio of the circulating fluidized bed boiler is no greater than 1.5. Nearly 20 people attended the seminar, including project consultation experts from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Beijing Zhongtianyi Accounting Firm, as well as team members from Guohua Research Institute, energy-saving companies, Tsinghua University, Beijing Jiaotong University, and Rehua Energy.
