Meeting on Safety and Reliability Analysis of Jinhang Furnace (Pressurized Slag Gasification Technology Using Lumpy Coal) Held; Author/Source: Xi’an Aerospace Yuanpower Engineering Co., Ltd.; Date: 10-12-2020; Clicks: 8. Recently, the Jinhang Furnace (Pressurized Slag Gasification Technology Using Lumpy Coal) developed by Xi’an Aerospace Yuanpower Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully passed the first domestic meeting on safety and reliability analysis of chemical processes, organized by the Shanxi Provincial Emergency Management Department. This marks the official entry of the Jinhang furnace into a new phase of demonstration and promotion. The Emergency Management Department of Shanxi Province, the Emergency Management Bureaus of Yuncheng City and Wenxi County, members of the Shanxi Coal Chemical Industry Expert Group, leaders of Jinmei Group and its regional subsidiaries, as well as relevant personnel attended this meeting. At the meeting, the company’s Jinhang Furnace project team provided a detailed discussion on the technology, processes, and the safety and reliability of the equipment related to the Jinhang Furnace. After thorough discussion and evaluation, the experts present reached a consensus that, in accordance with **relevant requirements and industry standards, Jinhang Furnace has carried out comprehensive verification of the safety and reliability of the liquid slag discharge technology and the associated process packages for coal with high ash fusion points, through pilot tests, scale-up tests, and industrial-scale trials. Furthermore, through simulation studies as well as HAZOP and SIL analyses, it was confirmed that this technology is safe and reliable. Jinhang furnace (pressurized slag gasification technology for lump coal) is an advanced coal gasification technology that enables the clean and efficient utilization of smokeless lump coal. The successful approval by the review committee will further advance the implementation and dissemination of the Jinhang Furnace demonstration project, which is of great significance for the company’s expansion into future business areas.
May I ask the poster, what was the procedure your company followed for conducting safety and reliability assessments back then? I did some research online; currently, Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province have specific implementation guidelines, while other provinces lack such documents. I’m not sure what the application process is like in Shanxi Province Please reply, thank you
