The gasification phase of the lignite-to-hydrogen project for the caprolactam expansion project at Cangzhou Xuyang Chemical Co., Ltd., which is being carried out by the second branch of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation, has officially commenced. Author/Source: Jinhua Furnace; Date: November 24, 2020; Clicks: 20. Recently, the gasification phase of this project started. Currently, the project has entered the trenching phase. The gasification unit of this project utilizes the water-cooled wall waste boiler gasifier technology for water-coal slurry developed by Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd. (Jinhua Furnace 3.0). Two in operation and one as backup, with a vaporization pressure of 6.7 MPaG; the gas production capacity per furnace is 65,000 Nm3/h (CO + H2). At present, the preliminary procedures for the project have been largely completed, all process packages have been delivered, and the overall design has been reviewed. Production is scheduled to begin in 2022. Cangzhou Xuyang Chemical Co., Ltd.’s caprolactam expansion project is a large-scale modern chemical facility that produces liquid caprolactam using raw materials such as lignite coke, benzene, fuming sulfuric acid, and alkali solutions. The project is located within the Cangzhou Xuyang Chemical Industrial Park. The construction includes a caprolactam plant with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons, an ammonium sulfate plant with an annual capacity of 450,000 tons, a ** plant with an annual capacity of 270,000 tons, a synthetic ammonia plant with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons, a hydrogen production plant using lignite with a capacity of 80,000 Nm3/h, and a hydrogen peroxide plant with an annual capacity of 120,000 tons (equivalent to 100% wt).
Technology of water-cooled wall waste boiler gasifier for water-coal slurry, Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd. (Jinhua Furnace 3.0)
On July 20, the lifting of the first gasifier unit for Cangzhou Xuyang Chemical Co., Ltd.’s caprolactam expansion project was successfully completed. It is a large-scale modern chemical plant that produces liquid caprolactam using raw materials such as coal tar, benzene, fuming sulfuric acid, and alkaline solutions.
