BDO is an important upstream raw material for downstream new material products such as PBAT-degradable plastics and engineering plastics (PBT). The completion of this coal chemical project will further enhance the integrated business framework for the entire industrial chain of chemical new materials like Hengli PBS/PBAT and engineering plastics. At present, the entity responsible for carrying out the preliminary work for this project is the actual controller of the listed company; whether it will be integrated into the listed company at an appropriate time will be determined through comprehensive consideration and planning in accordance with regulatory requirements and the company’s strategic objectives. The Public Gas Center project in the Qingshui Industrial Park (South Area) of the Yushen Industrial Zone, invested and constructed by Hengli Energy (Yulin) Chemical Co., Ltd., as well as the 1.8 million tons per year BDO production project of Hengli Energy (Yulin) New Materials Co., Ltd., have passed the approval process. Project scale and scope of the utility gas center in the Qingshui Industrial Park (South Area), Yushen Industrial Zone, Hengli Energy (Yulin) Chemical Co., Ltd.: 1.32 million standard cubic meters per hour of syngas, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen production facilities ； 96,000 standard cubic meters per hour calcium carbide-acetylene combined plant ； 30,000 standard cubic meters/hour CO2 recovery unit ； As well as process units for air separation, gasification, purification, etc., power centers, sewage treatment facilities, and utility storage and transportation facilities. Construction scale and scope of the 1.8 million tons/year BDO production facility at Hengli Energy (Yulin) New Materials Co., Ltd.: a 4.25 million tons/year formaldehyde plant (based on 37.5% concentration), a 1.8 million tons/year 1,4-butanediol plant, a 1 million tons/year anhydrous ethanol plant, an 180,000 tons/year PTMEG plant, an 180,000 tons/year PBAT plant, a 160,000 tons/year polyoxymethylene plant, as well as facilities for producing spandex and other products. The Hengli Energy (Yulin) Coal Chemical Integration Project is located in the Yulin Economic and Technological Development Zone of Yulin City. The total planned investment amounts to approximately 151.3 billion yuan, of which 114 billion yuan is allocated to the coal chemical integration project and 37.3 billion yuan to the textile new materials project. Invested and constructed by Hengli Energy (Yulin) Co., Ltd., the project covers a total area of approximately 31,640 mu, of which the coal-to-chemicals integration project occupies about 20,877 mu, and the textile new materials project covers around 10,763 mu.
