In recent years, Nanyang Energy Chemicals has followed a development strategy of \"developing one generation, producing one generation, and preparing one generation\" in advance, constantly seeking new applications and market opportunities for specialty waxes in various fields. With agriculture as its main focus, the company has intensified its efforts in researching and developing wax-based products, with an emphasis on sustainability and environmental friendliness in such research. To date, the company has developed a total of 6 products, including Seed Coating Wax Type 1, Seed Coating Wax Type 2, Coating Wax Type 1, Coating Wax Type 2, Coating Wax Type 3, and Coating Wax NYTB-207. The compound fertilizer coating wax NYTB-209 is the second new type of specialty wax developed by Nanyang Energy Chemicals this year; it represents a new generation of coating waxes designed primarily for use in the fertilizer industry. This product does not contain harmful substances such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and it poses no threat to the soil environment; it is an eco-friendly product. Fertilizers pose many difficulties for users due to issues such as caking, dust formation, and moisture absorption. Clumped fertilizer must be crushed and rescreened, which incurs additional costs and results in fertilizer loss as well as dust generation, affecting the health of operators. Over the years, fertilizer manufacturers have often applied a thin film of compound anti-caking agent to the surface of fertilizer particles to prevent the fertilizers from absorbing moisture and clumping together. These anti-adhesion film materials often use products containing harmful substances such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and gumbitumen; as environmental regulations become stricter, their application prospects are limited. Last year, upon receiving a request from a large domestic fertilizer company, Nanyang Energy Chemicals promptly assembled its R&D team to work on this task. Through repeated experiments and analyses, they carefully selected three types of wax raw materials and finalized the product formula. During the sample preparation process, they continuously optimized the composition of the raw materials and the proportions in which they were combined, thereby reducing production costs and meeting customers’ requirements regarding product quality and price.
