Progress on the Construction of Yushen Energy Chemicals’ 500,000 tons/year coal-based ethanol plant / Author/Source: Huahua Network Coal Chemicals / Date: 2021-09-02 / Clicks: 12 On August 30, the secondary circulation area and methanol production area of Yushen Energy Chemicals’ 500,000 tons/year coal-based ethanol project were ready to receive electricity, marking a crucial step forward in ensuring that the entire power supply system of this ethanol plant can supply power to the production units. It is understood that the substation in the second circulation area of the Yushen ethanol project is equipped with 2 oil-immersed transformers with a capacity of 25,000 kVA and 52 10 kV medium-voltage switchgear units. It primarily supplies power to seven distribution rooms, including those for demineralized water and condensate treatment, the wastewater treatment plant, the central control room, and the area in front of the factory. It also plays a key role in providing a secondary power source for temporary electrical use at the construction site ; The methanol area substation is equipped with 2 oil-immersed transformers with a capacity of 31,500 kVA and 42 10 kV medium-voltage switchgear units. Its main task is to supply power to four distribution rooms: the methanol combined substation, the gasification substation, and the air-cooled distribution rooms. To ensure that the first boiler was ready for ignition by 10:30, since July 1, Yushen Energy Chemical Company has worked closely with the general contractor and construction teams, keeping a tight schedule on the project. After 60 days of round-the-clock efforts, tasks such as equipment installation, busbar connection, individual unit testing, cable laying and wiring, and configuration of the control system were all completed. To date, the two regional substations have successfully met the requirements for power supply in accordance with the scheduled tasks, and the project related to the plant’s power supply system is progressing steadily as planned. Recently, the installation of the steel structure for the methanol complex process and the thermal piping network in Yushen Energy Chemical’s 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project, which is under the general contracting of Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., was completed. This has created the prerequisites for the piping work related to the methanol complex process as well as for pressure testing of those pipelines. The steel structure of the methanol combined plant weighs approximately 7,100 tons. At present, the installation of the steel structures for the methanol plant’s pipe galleries, distillation frames, shift conversion frames, and purification compressor buildings has been fully underway, with a total of over 2,600 tons already installed
