On the afternoon of September 6, the company signed an agreement with Henan Guangshuo Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. regarding a project to make comprehensive use of carbon from the off-gases produced by methanol production units in order to reduce energy consumption and emissions. By utilizing the company’s existing production facilities, the two parties will work together to optimize the 120,000-ton-per-year ammonia production plant, thereby creating an industrial park for ammonia and alcohol production. The successful signing of this project represents an important step taken by the company in its efforts to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. It serves as a positive example and catalyst for further cooperation between the two parties. The company aims to achieve mutual benefit and success through collaboration with Henan Guangshuo Technology & Chemicals, thereby contributing to the province’s efforts to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. At the signing ceremony, Zhang Aimin, the Party secretary and chairman of the company, said that the successful implementation of the project to produce 120,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year would completely change the situation of the company’s single product structure and increase the added value of the raw gas. Leveraging its existing resource advantages, the company focuses on extending, complementing, and strengthening its supply chains in order to foster new sources of economic growth, enhance the company’s resilience to risks, achieve diversified product development, and provide a solid foundation for transformation and growth. The Xinxiang plant makes use of the carbon in the off-gases from methanol synthesis to optimize the operation of existing ammonia synthesis units, enabling comprehensive utilization of methanol waste gases and reducing carbon dioxide emissions, thus contributing to the achievement of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
