On June 7, the first batch of equipment for the slag treatment system of JiuTai New Materials’ large-scale gas island project, constructed by the third branch of Sinochem Sixth Construction Co., Ltd., was installed in place. The project is located in the Tuoketuo Industrial Park in Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in mid-2021; once operational, the coal-based ethylene glycol production facility will be able to produce 1 million tons per year. Liuhua Jian undertook the civil engineering and installation work for Jiu Tai’s large-scale gasification plant. The slag water framework is one of the key structural components of Jutai’s large-scale gasification plant. The vacuum flash drum and high-pressure flash drum equipment that were lifted this time weigh 40.3 tons and 45.775 tons respectively, with a height of 18.91 meters. Liuhua Construction carefully analyzed the working environment and the condition of the equipment, and meticulously planned the construction scheme. The lifting was carried out using a 750-ton crawler crane as the main crane and a 55-ton crawler crane as an auxiliary crane, and the plan was approved by both the owner and the supervisor in one go. The successful lifting this time marks the official start of the installation work for the slag water treatment unit, laying a solid foundation for subsequent important tasks such as the installation of slag water clarification tanks, steel structures, and pipelines.
