With the methanol plant resuming operations during the cold winter weather, various unfavorable factors pose significant challenges to the startup process. To achieve the goal of driving safely and in an environmentally friendly manner, all employees made careful plans in the early stages of plant commissioning, carried out scientific coordination, kept a close eye on every detail, ensured strict control over the safety and quality of maintenance tasks, paid close attention to safety supervision during plant operation, and strengthened skill training for management and operational staff. Once the plant entered the commissioning phase, various grassroots units strictly monitored the progress of the scheduled tasks, ensuring that no residual issues remained from the start-up process and thus guaranteeing the smooth advancement of all key steps in the plant’s commissioning. From 14:00 on December 29, 2021, when the first ignition of Boiler No. 4 in the thermoelectric plant was successful, until 02:00 on January 3, when crude methanol was produced as a result of the methanol synthesis process, the entire process took only 108 hours, thus exceeding the scheduled timeline for commissioning this facility.
