Recently, the hot regeneration tower in the low-temperature methanol washing unit of the methanol purification plant within the 500,000-ton/year coal-based ethanol project undertaken by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. was successfully hoisted. The thermal regeneration tower is one of the 9 towers in the main process of the low-temperature methanol washing unit. The entire equipment is delivered as a single unit; it is lifted using a 450-ton crawler crane for the main lifting operation, with a 250-ton crawler crane assisting in the process. On the ground, work is carried out to install pipe supports and insulation layers for the equipment. To date, 7 of the 9 towers in the main process of the purified low-temperature methanol wash unit have been installed, namely the concentration tower, heat regeneration tower, methanol-water separation tower, exhaust gas washing tower, nitrogen stripping tower, unconverted gas washing tower, and medium-pressure flash tank.
