If the circulation volume of the amine solution in the system is 100 tons, then what is approximately the amount of amine solution stored in the system? The circulation rate of the amine solution has no direct relationship with the total amount of amine solution in the system; it can be calculated as 0.5 moles of acidic components absorbed per mole of amine. The total amount of amine solution in the system, on the other hand, is related to the processing volume and the size of the equipment. The amine consumption can be estimated at 0.3 kilograms per 10,000 cubic meters of raw material processed

The amount required for replenishment is around 8 tons per month; the exact amount depends on the loss rates of the upstream equipment (desulfurization towers). Generally, the more heat-stable salts present in the amine solution, the more severe the foaming phenomenon becomes, and the more mist is carried along with the fluid, leading to greater losses and thus a higher need for replenishment.
