On January 13, 2022, all equipment for the PSA hydrogen production unit as part of the second phase of the caprolactam project at Fujian Yongrong Technology Co., Ltd., which was constructed by Sinochem Sixth Construction Beijing Branch, was installed, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installation work. On January 11, the civil engineering work for the main plant of the Fujian Yongrong project, undertaken by Sinochem Sixth Construction’s South China branch, was fully completed, achieving the completion deadline set by the client 15 days ahead of schedule. The main production units of the second phase of Fujian Yongrong Technology’s caprolactam project include two sets of 200,000 tons per year olefin-based **units, as well as two sets of 200,000 tons per year caprolactam units ； The supporting production facilities include a combined plant for coal-to-hydrogen production with a capacity of 40,000 m3/h and coal-to-ammonia production with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons, two hydrogen peroxide plants with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons (35%), and one sulfuric acid plant with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons. The caprolactam project of Fujian Yongrong Technology Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 14.876 billion yuan and is divided into two phases. The first phase, involving a capacity of 200,000 tons per year of caprolactam, was put into operation by the end of 2017; after technical upgrades, the production capacity was increased to 280,000 tons per year. The second phase, with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year of caprolactam, requires an investment of 8 billion yuan. The project mainly produces caprolactam and by-products such as sulfuric acid. Caprolactam is an important raw material for producing engineering plastics, synthetic fibers, insulating materials, and other products.
