The performance assessment for Enechemical’s technical upgrade project aimed at producing 1 million tons of methanol per year was completed successfully. Author/Source: Harmonious Enechemical; Date: November 24, 2021; Clicks: 16. The technical upgrade project for producing 1 million tons of methanol per year, along with the associated pipeline systems, began to produce qualified products on April 30, 2021. Thanks to the concerted efforts of all involved parties, the methanol production system operated stably and met the requirements for performance assessment. On November 12, 2021, a meeting was held to initiate the performance assessment of this project, with participation from Enechemical, various EPC contractors, process suppliers, and other relevant parties. Starting from November 13, the various units carried out the performance assessments based on the actual conditions, and these assessments were completed by 12:00 on November 21, 2021. The main units involved in the performance assessment have reached their designed capacity: an annual production of 1.26 million tons (158 tons per hour) of MTO-grade methanol, along with a transportation capacity of 280 tons per hour. The key performance indicators have met the expected levels, with the qualification rate for the methanol production process and the operation rate of interlock systems both exceeding 99%.
