A message released on Yanchang Petroleum’s official WeChat account states that on April 8, Shaanxi Yanchang Yueneng Clean Energy Co., Ltd., which was restructured through capital increase and share expansion, was officially established. Among them, Yanchang Petroleum Group holds a 51% stake and thus becomes the controlling shareholder. Before its restructuring, Shaanxi Yanchang Yueneng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. was known as Yulin High-Tech Energy Technology Co., Ltd.; it will serve as the main entity for the Yulin coal-to-clean-fuel upgrading demonstration project, and will work actively to advance all aspects of this project. It is understood that the Yulin Coal-to-Clean Fuel Upgrading Demonstration Project was approved by Yanchang Petroleum Group Company in 2023, and its location is in the Energy and Chemical Industry Park of Jingbian Economic Development Zone. The project will be carried out in accordance with the principle of \"overall planning and phased implementation,\" with an overall planned production capacity of 5 million tons per year, and the proportion of oil products to chemical products being 1:1. The pilot projects include a demonstration project for the technological upgrading of coal-based clean fuels and high-end chemicals with an annual production capacity of 2.4 million tons, as well as the construction of supporting coal mines.
