The gasification workshop of Kaiyue Coal Chemicals made every effort to repair the slag removal machine in order to ensure ongoing production. Author/Source: Kaiyue Coal Chemicals. Around 10 p.m. on May 16, the current level of the main motor of slag removal machine B in the gasification workshop of Kaiyue Coal Chemicals increased abnormally; the control room ordered on-site operators to go there immediately to check the situation. The operators found that the scraper chain of slag removal machine B had come off its track, and the scraper itself was severely damaged. The workshop duty officer reported the situation to the management. Due to the poor working conditions at the site – high temperatures, low light levels, and a large amount of debris – it was decided to activate slag extractor C immediately, with repairs to slag extractor B to be carried out the following day. It is reported that the company has a total of three slag removal machines, with two in operation and one as a backup under normal conditions. These slag removal machines are important equipment in the gasification plant; they are responsible for processing the waste slag from the gasification furnace and transporting it to the slag trucks. If a backup unit cannot be repaired promptly, any unexpected situation could severely affect the stable operation of the device. The following day, after the morning handover, the gasification workshop promptly communicated with the maintenance workshop and decided to form a emergency repair team. Everyone took action right away, doing their respective duties. A series of tasks, from work order processing, safety precautions to emergency repair preparations, are carried out in an orderly manner. At around 9 a.m. on the 17th, the emergency repair work officially began; the repair team started the slag removal machine based on the situation and monitored its operation ; The sections of the chain that are severely worn are cut off and replaced, followed by adjustments to ensure that the total length of the chains on both sides is equal. Thanks to thorough preparation, the replacement of the slag extractor’s chains was completed by 9 p.m.; the emergency repair work took just over 12 hours. Sweat streamed silently down the faces of the repair workers, and once the slag extractor started working properly, smiles reappeared on those faces covered in sweat and dust. Next, the gasification workshop will carry out all the tasks outlined in the \"100-Day Safety and Environmental Protection Improvement Initiative\" to ensure the safe and stable operation of the facilities, thereby supporting the company’s stable and high-level production and making its due contribution to the company’s healthy development.
For critical equipment, if it breaks down, does it really take until the next day to get it repaired? No need to rush yet
I’m asking out of curiosity: which company did you purchase the chain for the slag skimmer from?
