The Inner Mongolia Baofeng coal-based new materials project is one of the key new industrialization projects in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It aims to produce high-quality coal-based new materials by making efficient use of the region’s abundant coal resources, thereby promoting the optimization and upgrading of the local economic structure. Recently, the crossing truss of Project A (Y1) ductwork (axis 99–100) was installed in one go, as were the crossing truss of B1 ductwork and the crossing truss of Project A (Y1) ductwork (axis 1A–2). The A (Y1) duct tunnel (axis 99–100) has a road truss that weighs 19.5 tons, is 23 meters long, and 7 meters wide ; The B1 utility tunnel crossing truss spans Baoqi Road, with a span of 33 meters ; The overhead truss of tunnel A (Y1) (axis 1A–2) weighs 53.1 tons, is 39.6 meters long, and 7 meters wide. On March 27, the final piece was lifted into place in the pulverized coal storage tank of Unit A of the gasification plant at the Baofeng project in Inner Mongolia, marking the successful completion of the lifting of large-scale components within the framework below 75 meters in Unit A of the gasification plant. The Inner Mongolia Baofeng coal-based new materials project uses coal as a raw material to produce MTO-grade methanol via a space furnace; the DMTO-III technology from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics is employed for the production of olefins from methanol; the Unipol gas-phase fluidized bed process is used to produce polyethylene; and Basell’s Spheripol combined liquid-phase and gas-phase process is used to produce polypropylene. The olefin capacity is 3 million tons per year, of which 400,000 tons per year are produced through the integration of green hydrogen on an incremental basis.
