Recently, the first phase of the coal chemical industry circular industrial chain project, invested in by Rongxin Technology Co., Ltd. in Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, is on the verge of commencement of operations. To date, the civil works and equipment installation for the project have been completed, and equipment commissioning is currently in progress. The coal chemical recycling industry chain project of Wuhai Rongxin Technology Co., Ltd. is located in the Hainan Industrial Park in Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia. It is planned to be constructed in two phases: Phase 1 will involve the production of 150,000 tons per year of crude benzene through hydrogenation and refining, as well as 300,000 tons per year of tar processing; Phase 2 will include the production of 50,000 tons per year of needle coke, along with two production lines capable of producing 50,000 tons per year each of carbon black. The first-phase product includes 2,100 t/a of light oil, 3,667 t/a of crude phenol (with 10% moisture), 33,400 t/a of industrial naphthalene, 19,500 t/a of washed oil, 5,400 t/a of phenol oil, 162,000 t/a of modified asphalt, and 74,000 t/a of mixed anthracene oil. The main units of the first phase of the project consist of tar distillation, washing and decomposition, industrial naphthalene, modified asphalt, and an oil depot. The process technology adopted for this project is as follows: vacuum continuous distillation is used for tar distillation; a single furnace with two columns under vacuum distillation is employed to produce 93% industrial naphthalene. Fraction washing is carried out using a pre-pump mixing continuous washing process. Sodium phenolate decomposition is achieved through carbon dioxide decomposition. For storage in oil tanks, heating and standing are used to remove residues and water. Modified asphalt is produced using a tubular furnace with cyclic heating.
