Unit B of the gasification plant began operating with feedstock on February 27, 2020. The process burner operated continuously for 114 days, breaking the record set by Unit A in 2017, which had operated safely for 102 days in a row. The quench ring (after cleaning) also operated continuously for 197 days. Both the process burner of the gasification unit and the quench ring (after cleaning) achieved new records in terms of continuous operation time, setting a benchmark for the safe, continuous operation of single units in this company’s gasification facilities.
