2024-06-07 Recently, a ceremony for the centralized signing of investment promotion projects for the second quarter was held in Jimusaer County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. At the signing ceremony, Wu Guishan, a member of the county Party committee and the executive deputy county head, represented the county government to sign an agreement with Xinjiang Longdu Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for a project aimed at the clean and comprehensive utilization of 400,000 tons per year of coal-based low-quality materials. It is understood that the projects signed this time include the 400,000-ton per year clean comprehensive utilization project of coal-based low-quality materials by Xinjiang Longdu Petrochemical Co., Ltd., the production project of 2 million square silicon cores per year by Jimusaer Simei New Materials Co., Ltd., and the construction of high-standard facility agriculture greenhouses in Dadao Town, Jimusaer County by Jimusaer Sanzhong Edible Fungi Planting Co., Ltd. The total planned investment for these projects is 1.962 billion yuan, covering fields such as petrochemicals, new materials, and agriculture; they hold great significance for the economic development and industrial upgrading of our county. The annual production capacity of 400,000 tons for the clean comprehensive utilization project of coal-based low-quality materials by Xinjiang Longdu Petrochemical Co., Ltd. will further enable the on-site conversion of coal-based resources, extend the product chain of the coal chemical industry, and contribute to the rapid development of the petroleum and coal chemical industries in Jimsar County.
Coal-based low-quality waste cleaning and comprehensive utilization project? Could it be the comprehensive utilization of \"coal gangue for power generation + cement\"?
At present, for coal-to-oil conversion, there are only Guoneng’s direct coal liquefaction technology and Lu’an/CSIC’s indirect coal liquefaction technology; moreover, high-quality coking coal is required as raw material. Can oil products be produced from low-quality coal as well? I’m afraid it will be difficult to even produce coal tar.
