According to reports from November 2024, Guizhou Tianfu Chemical Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Tianfu Company”) began conducting trial tests to replace petroleum coke with other materials as feedstock for gasification on August 29. This trial firing experiment provided data support for the company to replace petroleum coke with feedstock for gasification. By replacing the raw materials used in gasification, Tianfu Company has achieved improvements in both economic efficiency and environmental protection, laying a solid foundation for the company’s high-quality development. Guizhou Tianfu Chemical Company uses Shell’s pressurized coal gasification technology to produce 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 200,000 tons of methanol, and 150,000 tons of dimethyl ether per year.
