On the evening of May 13, Enjie Co., Ltd. announced its intention to invest in Rong County, Zigong City, Sichuan Province, to build a project for producing 5 billion square meters of lithium battery separator films per year; the total investment is expected to be 4 billion yuan. According to the announcement, Enjie Co., Ltd. will hold 67% of the shares in the entity responsible for implementing this investment project, while the industrial partner recommended by the Zigong municipal government will hold 33% of the shares. The project company may subsequently introduce other partners to hold up to 10% of the equity. Enjie Co., Ltd. stated that the competitive landscape in the lithium battery separator market is improving, with industry resources gradually concentrating among leading companies. Meanwhile, the demand for power batteries and energy storage batteries in downstream applications is steadily increasing, and the range of application scenarios continues to expand. This investment project is in line with the industry’s development trends, meets the rigid demands of downstream markets, and takes advantage of the growing opportunities in the high-end product market.
