2025-01-23 14:22:07 On January 21, a public notice was issued regarding the preliminary environmental impact assessment for the completion of Quzhou Guotai Chaowei New Materials Co., Ltd.’s lithium battery materials production project with an annual capacity of 2,100 tons; the first phase of this project involves a production line capable of producing 300 tons per year of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonylimide). It is understood that the main component of this project is the construction of a lithium battery materials facility with an annual production capacity of 2,100 tons, which includes 500 tons per year of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonylimide), 400 tons per year of lithium difluorophosphate, 200 tons per year of lithium difluorobisoxalate phosphate, and 1,000 tons per year of vinyl sulfate. The project will be implemented in two phases. In Phase I, production lines and other facilities will be constructed for 300 tons/year of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, 200 tons/year of lithium difluorophosphate, 100 tons/year of lithium difluorobis(oxalato)phosphate, and 500 tons/year of ethylene sulfate. In Phase II, additional equipment will be installed based on the infrastructure established in Phase I, thereby increasing the annual production capacity to 500 tons of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide, 400 tons of lithium difluorophosphate, 200 tons of lithium difluorobis(oxalato)phosphate, and 1,000 tons of ethylene sulfate. At present, the company has completed the construction of the 300 t/a lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonylimide) production line in Phase 1, achieving an annual production capacity of 300 tons of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonylimide). Meanwhile, it also has the capability to produce 193.520 tons per year of potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate, 743.427 tons per year of sodium sulfate, 1005.433 tons per year of potassium fluoride, and 938.217 tons per year of potassium chloride. Therefore, this inspection constitutes a preliminary environmental protection inspection for the completion of the project, and the scope of the inspection covers the 300 t/a lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonylimide) production line in Phase 1. Upon on-site inspection and review of the monitoring and investigation reports, it is found that the project has carried out an environmental impact assessment in accordance with **relevant environmental protection laws and regulations, and has completed the necessary procedures for approval of the environmental impact associated with the construction project; thus, the approval procedures have been fulfilled as required. The project has implemented the necessary treatment measures in accordance with the requirements of the environmental impact assessment and approval documents, and an environmental protection management system has been established. The results of the acceptance monitoring show that all pollutant emission indicators for the project meet the relevant standards, and the total amount of pollutants emitted remains within the limits specified in the environmental impact assessment and approval documents. The requirements related to the principle of \"simultaneous implementation of environmental protection measures along with the project construction\" have been basically met, and there are no failure points as specified in the \"Interim Measures for Environmental Protection Acceptance upon Completion of Construction Projects\" and Guohuan Gui Huiping (2017) No. 4. Therefore, approval is given for the preliminary environmental protection acceptance of this project.
