On October 14, the Ganzhou Administrative Approval Bureau published information regarding the basic details of Shi Lei Fluorine Materials’ technical transformation project for lithium hexafluorophosphate in Huichang. The specific details of the project are as follows: Project name: Shilei Fluorine Materials Huichang Lithium Hexafluorophosphate Technology Upgrade Project ; Construction location: Jiangxi Huichang Fluoride Chemical Industry Base ; Construction unit: Jiangxi Shilei Fluorine Materials Co., Ltd ; Project investment: 30 million yuan ; Construction content and scale: The total land area of the project site is 30,218㎡, and no additional land will be acquired for the project. The project makes use of the existing production line with an annual output of 9,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate, warehouses, and various supporting facilities; the total construction area is 28,437.48㎡, with no new buildings being constructed. However, equipment upgrades require the reinforcement of the building foundation. By utilizing the existing equipment in the synthesis section, 8 gas generation units, 2 mother liquor treatment units, 2 clear liquid treatment units, 4 modulation units, 4 synthesis units, and 4 drying units from that section will be retained, with no additional equipment or facilities added to the synthesis section ; The refining section has been equipped with 1 additional crushing unit, 1 blower, 1 classifier, 1 dust collector, 2 converters, 4 lithium salt storage tanks, 1 solid-liquid separator, 1 pneumatic conveying system, and 1 intelligent control system ; More than 10 various types of material transfer pumps, etc. Process after technological upgrade: Phosphorus pentachloride reacts with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride to produce phosphorus pentafluoride gas, which is filtered by a gas filtration system before entering the synthesis tank. Lithium fluoride, after being prepared, enters the synthesis tank from a preparation tank; there, phosphorus pentafluoride reacts with lithium fluoride to yield lithium hexafluorophosphate, which then crystallizes dynamically. The lithium hexafluorophosphate crystals are dried using drying equipment to produce semi-finished products, which are further crushed and thoroughly dried to become the final products ready for shipment. This project involves technical upgrades to the existing 9,000-ton lithium hexafluorophosphate production facility, while the existing 6,000-ton lithium hexafluorophosphate plant remains unchanged. After the technical upgrades, the products and production capacity of this project are 18,000 tons per year of lithium hexafluorophosphate, along with 25,200 tons per year of hydrofluoric acid as a by-product, and 108,000 tons per year of hydrochloric acid. Upon completion and commissioning of this project, the total production capacity of the plant will be 24,000 tons per year of lithium hexafluorophosphate, with 33,600 tons per year of hydrofluoric acid and 1,440,000 tons per year of hydrochloric acid as by-products.
