Registration approved for the renovation project of Quanchang perfluorosulfonic acid resin by China Fluorine Chemicals! 2025-03-20 On March 18, the renovation project for perfluorosulfonic acid resins at Zhongfu Chemical Huichang was registered. It is understood that the project plans to invest 800 million yuan. By making use of the existing buildings and equipment, the existing 1,500 tons per year fluorocarbon resin production line will be upgraded. After the upgrade, the production capacity will be as follows: 900 tons per year of fluorocarbon resin products, and 600 tons per year of perfluorosulfonic acid resin products, with the total production capacity remaining unchanged. In 2017, Zhongmao Petrochemical, Zhongrunde Long and other companies based in Dongguan, Guangdong, jointly invested in the establishment of Jiangxi Zhongfu Chemical Materials Technology Co., Ltd. With a registered capital of 100 million yuan and a land area of 200 mu, the company is dedicated to the research and development, scale-up, and industrialization of products such as fluorine-containing polymers, fluorine-containing fine chemicals, and new types of fluorine refrigerants. In 2022, the company proposed the \"Phase II renovation project for the annual production of 62,000 tons of fluorine-containing polymer materials\" at Jiangxi Zhongfu Chemical Materials Technology Co., Ltd. This project involves renovating the existing facility with an annual production capacity of 62,000 tons, and it is planned to be carried out in three phases. The construction tasks for the first phase include: discontinuing the production lines for F246 at 0.2 tons per year, F1234yf at 0.4 tons per year, and fluorosilicone modifiers for engineering plastics at 0.6 tons per year; shutting down the R32 production line with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons; converting the R22 production facility from one with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons of R22 into one with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons of R22 (as an intermediate); transforming the tetrafluoroethylene production facility into one with an annual capacity of 14,000 tons; and establishing production lines for alkyl iodide series, hydrofluoroether series, and fluorocarbon resins, with an overall annual production capacity of 7,343 tons.
