Differences between F46 and F40

Some customers mentioned that the valve manufacturer stated that the lining is F40, claiming it to be better than F46, and that it’s also much more expensive. Our pumps use F46 lining; we’ve never worked with F40 lining before, so when customers asked me about this, I wasn’t very familiar with the differences between the two. Is there anyone who can explain this?
That’s correct; we are a manufacturer of fluorinated lining valves. F46 material is processed using the molding method, requiring several hours in a furnace until the material is fully heated before it can be shaped. In contrast, F40 material is molded through injection molding and takes only a few minutes to be shaped. This is the difference in manufacturing processes – one takes hours while the other takes just a few minutes. The inherent differences between the materials are obvious: F46 offers much higher durability and a longer service life compared to F40
