In November 2024, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the approval results for the 11th batch of regular registration certificates for the environmental management of new chemical substances, and Hayesford Company received approval for the regular registration certificate for perfluoroisobutyronitrile.   It is reported that this technology reduces the greenhouse effect by 97% compared to sulfur hexafluoride, and achieves \"the same dimensions, parameters, and performance\" as conventional 550 kV sulfur hexafluoride gas-insulated transmission lines. It is compatible with both sulfur hexafluoride and sulfur hexafluoride/nitrogen mixtures, offering excellent solutions for the retrofitting of existing power plants as well as the construction of new ones.
