On March 20, a public announcement was made regarding the environmental protection inspection following the partial completion of Fujian Kerun Century Hydrogen Energy Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 1,500 tons per year of high-end fluorinated polymers. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Project for annual production of 1,500 tons of high-end fluoropolymer products ； Construction unit: Fujian Kerun Century Hydrogen Energy Materials Co., Ltd ； Construction location: No. 5, Jingyi Road, Qimu Platform, Phase III, Jintang Industrial Park, Shaowu City, Fujian Province ； Investment amount: 5 million yuan ； Construction contents: The annual production capacity will include 450 tons of perfluorosulfonic acid resin (of which 100 tons/year of perfluorosulfonic acid resin will be produced as part of the second-phase project and brought online; this 100 tons/year capacity will be achieved by adding new production facilities and equipment to the existing Class A workshop), 1000 tons of polytetrafluoroethylene resin. In addition, the annual production capacity will also cover 350 tons of perfluorosulfonyl fluoride ethoxypropyl vinyl ether, 500 tons of perfluorosulfonyl lactone, 1500 tons of tetrafluoroethylene (all for internal use), 50 tons of perfluoroether rubber, 100 tons of perfluoromethyl vinyl ether (25 tons/year for internal use), 90 tons of perfluorodimethyldioctanoic acid (octacarboxylic acid) (53.5 tons/year for internal use), 2 tons of bromotetrafluorobutene (all for internal use), and 2 tons of iodotetrafluorobutenene (all for internal use). As by-products, 22.5 tons of hexafluoropropylene, 6000 tons of hydrochloric acid, 850 tons of potassium nitrate/sodium nitrate, 1950 tons of calcium chloride, and 70 tons of calcium fluoride will be produced. Scope of acceptance: The content and scope of this interim acceptance include the 100t/a perfluorosulfonic acid resin (PFSA) production line and the associated environmental protection facilities ； The phased acceptance scale is 100 t/a of perfluorosulfonic acid resin.
