Ruyuan Dongyangguang Fluorine Co., Ltd. plans to invest 316 million yuan in the New Materials Industrial Park of Ruyuan Economic Development Zone in Guangdong. The company intends to convert its existing 10,000-ton/year R125 production facility into one that produces 10,000 tons/year of tetrafluoroethane (R134a), and to build a new facility capable of producing 20,000 tons/year of pentafluoroethane (R125), which are both environmentally friendly refrigerants. The project covers an area of approximately 20 mu, or 13,333.4 m2. Construction scale: Annual production of 10,000 tons of tetrafluoroethane and 20,000 tons of pentafluoroethane – new environmentally friendly refrigerants; 120,000 tons of 31% hydrochloric acid, 2,444 tons of 5% hydrofluoric acid, and 57 tons of 1,1,1-trifluoroethane (R143a) per year.
