Recently, the first environmental impact assessment announcement was released for Hubei Lianchang New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 12,500 tons of fluorine-containing intermediates per year. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Hubei Lianchang New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project for an annual production capacity of 12,500 tons of fluorine-containing intermediates ; Construction unit: Hubei Lianchang New Materials Co., Ltd ; Construction location: Fine Chemical Industry Park, Huiyao Village, Tancheng Sub-district, Jianyang District, Nanping City ; Project investment: 225.38 million yuan ; Project nature: Technical renovation and others ; Construction contents: A new Class A factory building will be constructed, while the existing factory buildings will be renovated to add production lines for fluorine-containing intermediates and by-product processing, along with the construction of supporting utility facilities. Upon completion of the project, it will produce 12,500 tons per year of fluorine-containing intermediates and 15,200 tons per year of by-products. Among them, 2-chloro-4-fluorotoluene at 1,200 tons per year, 2-chloro-4-fluorobenzoyl chloride at 1,500 tons per year, 2-chloro-6-fluorotoluene at 500 tons per year, 2-chloro-6-fluorobenzaldehyde at 500 tons per year, pentacloro-o-xylene at 3,000 tons per year, o-trifluoromethylbenzamide at 2,000 tons per year, o-trifluoromethylbenzoic acid at 300 tons per year, 4,4’-difluorodiphenylmethane at 1,000 tons per year, 2,4’-difluorobenzophenone at 1,500 tons per year, and p-fluorobenzaldehyde at 1,000 tons per year ; 10,000 tons per year of hydrochloric acid as a by-product, 2,000 tons per year of sulfuric acid as a by-product, 1,200 tons per year of hydrofluoric acid as a by-product, and 2,000 tons per year of sodium fluoride as a by-product.
