Every time a long holiday ends, everyone’s social media feeds are filled with expressions of despair~ It seems that everyone suffers from post-holiday syndrome: feeling restless, with the memories of the holidays still playing in their minds； I feel weak all over and unable to concentrate on my tasks. The operators in the control room make mistakes, and those working on the field cannot find the appropriate locations for operation. As a chemical industry worker, how do you adjust to such situations? As a team leader, how do you manage your team so that its members can get started working as quickly as possible? As a supervisor, section chief, or manager, how do you carry out effective management? As a manager, whether at the grassroots level or at higher positions, how do you deal with these challenges?
Post-holiday syndrome affects almost everyone. First, there is individual adjustment; secondly, managers (team leaders, section chiefs, supervisors) help with this adjustment to enable employees to get back to work as quickly as possible. Additionally, it’s important to verify critical operations multiple times (more times than usual) to avoid mistakes.
Self-regulation combined with reminders from others allows one to recover from post-holiday syndrome quite quickly.
