As the title suggests: Are packed towers useful for solvent regeneration towers, and what is their effectiveness?
The basic mass and heat transfer processes should be feasible as long as the packing is properly selected and the design is sound
It depends on the properties of the solvent; a packed tower is used for oil washing and regeneration.
The pressure difference at the top and bottom of the tower is mainly considered; generally, packed towers yield better results, but floating valve trays are more cost-effective
