What methods do we generally use to adjust high pressure in the circulating water system?
The bypass regulation method is used to address the high pressure in the circulating water system
For those with lower water consumption, it is possible to stop the pump and reduce the inlet flow of the cooler (of large size) as a way to make adjustments; this ensures safety while also saving energy.
If possible, reduce the number of circulating water pumps in use
A common issue with circulating water is low pressure; if the pressure is high, one pump can be turned off, or the outlet valve of the pump can be reduced in size, or the return valve can be opened wider, or the bypass valve can be opened wider.
Pressure can be adjusted manually or automatically; manually, this is done by operating valves to regulate the pressure. For applications requiring high control precision, a PID automatic pressure regulation system can be used; for those with lower precision requirements, a self-acting control valve can be employed for pressure regulation.
The pressure of a single pump is high; a bypass can be adjusted; In a system with multiple pumps, one or several of those pumps can be converted to variable-frequency control in order to adjust the load of the entire system
If the pump selected is not suitable, an investment return analysis can be conducted to determine whether replacing it with a smaller pump would result in better energy efficiency. Additionally, a variable frequency drive can be installed on the pump to regulate pressure and flow~~
Adjusting the bypass valve or using frequency conversion control can be employed.
I’m just trying to spark some discussion; I hope other experts in the field can offer their guidance. One of the more effective measures is to soften the circulating water, in order to prevent scaling from causing the pipe diameter to shrink and leading to a decrease in heat transfer efficiency.
It is recommended to calculate in detail the water supply pressure required for each device; if it is determined that there is a substantial surplus in this pressure, energy-saving modifications can be carried out to reduce the power consumption of the pumps
