In the process design for seed anti-scaling, how can seeds be added to the system in a simple and convenient manner? The system is a vacuum system. I hope an expert can give some advice. Thank you
What kind of manufacturing process is used for this product? Could you provide more details? That way, everyone can better understand it and get involved
It refers to the use of seeding to prevent scaling in the evaporation process of desulfurization wastewater; currently, it’s not clear what simple method can be used to add these seeds.
Is it flue gas desulfurization or petrochemical desulfurization? Petrochemical desulfurization is suitable for discussion in the petrochemical sector; I can help you redirect the conversation there
Guess: Flue gas desulfurization (limestone-lime method): Is calcium sulfate the main salt in the wastewater? What is a seed crystal? It’s also calcium sulfate, right? In this case, the calcium sulfate concentration needs to be high to a certain level; if there isn’t enough calcium sulfate in the raw materials, it needs to be added. Is that the situation? Also: How are your seed crystals made? Wasn’t it obtained during operation? (Please explain.) . . . )
It’s desulfurization wastewater from a power plant. We use multi-effect evaporation; due to the high concentration of calcium and magnesium, the cost of softening the water is high. Therefore, we employ a seed-crystal method to prevent scaling. There is a recirculation system for these seed crystals, so it’s necessary to add them at the beginning of the process. Since the equipment is quite tall, manual addition is cumbersome and can also affect the vacuum level of the system. I would like to ask those who have experience with seed-crystal evaporation whether they could share their insights. Thank you!
Before the system starts operating, new calcium sulfate seeds are added; once stability is achieved, a seed recirculation device is in use. Keep the concentration of control seeds at a certain level.
It is recommended to consult design institutes specializing in light industry and salt production, such as the Zigong Salt Industry Design Institute.
