1. Should spring washers be used on the anchor bolts? Based on what? The pump’s technical specifications only mention the need for gaskets. 2. Can slip-on fittings be used for the flushing line and cooling water line of screw pumps? Based on what?
It’s definitely better to use elastic pads with the pump, but there are also portable pumps that don’t have corner bolts and only feature rubber pads, and they still work fine when tested. The flushing line depends on the pressure of your flushing water.

It is not recommended to use spring washers for the base bolts of the unit, as they tend to fail; flat washers are sufficient. For pipe joints that are washed with water, flange collars are preferable, as regular connections are prone to leaks.
I’ve only seen those using flat shims; I’ve never seen any that use spring shims. If the cooling water pressure is not high, a ferrule joint can be used, mainly because it is easy to install and remove.
Spring washers are generally not used on the base, unless the pump is under heavy load and experiences significant vibration; flat washers are necessary in such cases. Spring washers serve mainly to prevent loosening. Since the bolts are smaller than the holes, without flat washers, the nut will not make good contact with the base, which could lead to relative sliding and imbalance. The use of flat washers improves the quality of this contact.
This depends on the rotational speed of your pump and the vertical support stiffness (which determines its natural vibration frequency in the vertical direction). So, whether to use shims or not depends on the manufacturer’s instructions. It generally isn’t necessary to add it. For detailed information, if I’m not mistaken, it is recommended to refer to ISO 10816.
