The 300t/h closed-loop water system is replenished with softened water; the theoretical design requirement for water addition is 0.3t/h. To save on investment, no device for producing softened water is installed, and softened water is purchased externally for supplementation – is this feasible? As long as the water quality tested meets your company’s standards, that’s sufficient. There’s no need for continuous water replenishment; isn’t it good to use a buffer tank and add water intermittently, based on the level of liquid in that tank?
The previous smaller water production system required less land and investment. If the water is supplied through direct pipeline transmission, it’s acceptable; however, if a recirculation tank is used, the amount of desalinated water that needs to be purchased becomes larger.
I think it’s better to set it up by oneself. During maintenance, when the water quality is not optimal, adjusting the discharge volume requires a lot of effort. Relying solely on purchased components will increase costs; it’s better to have the design department do the calculations. One can’t simply decide whether to use such a system or not without proper consideration. If you don’t want to contact another design firm, you can directly approach the design firm that designed the circulating water system and ask them to provide an approximate estimate
