Today, a double-flange level gauge was installed, located 800 mm below the positive pressure chamber. Sealed tank parameters: flange spacing of 3.36 meters, density of 1350, range of 0–45.36 kPa, and migration range of -35.23–10.13 kPa. Liquid was poured into the tank; its density is 1220. The liquid level stopped rising at 3.07 meters, although it actually reached 4.6 meters. The double-flange level gauge did not show any change in reading. By checking the trend data, it was found that a spare hole at the top of the tank was opened when the level reached 3.07 meters. Question 1: The liquid level has risen to 4.6 meters; the gauge should show 3.36 meters due to density issues? 2. Even though the density is lower, with the actual liquid level at 4.6 meters, the level should change, but it stays at 3.7 meters without any change.
The density and the amount of migration are calculated differently, right? Enter the name of the liquid corresponding to the density being calculated
Due to the difference in density, the actual density is low; when it shows 3.07 meters, the liquid level has already exceeded the upper flange (you can do the calculation). The pressure difference between the upper and lower flanges remains unchanged, and the liquid level also stays the same; this has nothing to do with opening the spare hole. It is recommended to set the density based on the actual value.
